After my great success with Tom Tom Go in the CCI***u25 at Bramham I decided to send him on an early holiday. This will enable us to have a better preparation for the forthcoming season. In addition it gave me more time to focus on my other horses.

Win and Love (Winny) and Lord Shostakovich (Lolli) successfully completed the CCI** at Hartpury with Lolli finishing in 6th place of a very competitive section .

Due to their great performance at Hartpury I decided to aim Lolli for the CCI*** and Winny for the CIC***8/9YO at Blenheim. I used the Advanced at Wellington as our last preparation. Both horses jumped a clear XC round. Unfortunately torrential rain caused deterioration of the ground thus I decided to ride very steady.

Blenheim, one of the biggest and most competitive CCI***, was definitely a highlight of this year´s season. Although Lolli only performed an average dressage test, he really made up for it with a very fast and textbook cross country round. He gave me such an amazing feeling and made it look so easy. We finished the CCI*** in 13th place after a superb clear Show Jumping round ( Lolli has really proven that he´s a world-class horse. He went on a well deserved holiday after his fantastic performance.

Winny, who competed at her first BE100 with me at the beginning of last season made huge improvements over the last one and a half years. She completed her first ever CIC*** at Blenheim in great style and showed loads of potential. This meant she qualified for the CCI*** at Boekelo.

Boekelo is always a very special event due to its renowned parties and enormous crowds.

Winny did a nice dressage test and showed a lot of potential, although she is not very established at the 3* Level yet. She showed off on the XC day with one of the fastest rounds of the day despite being very inexperienced. We were lying in 12th place overnight but a couple really annoying SJ faults meant that we dropped outside the top 20. I am certain that with more experience these mistakes won´t happen again.

I still can´t believe that I have qualified three horses for CCI4* in one season! Therefore I want to thank my parents in particular for making this possible. Without my dad´s support and training from an early age, I would have never achieved any of these great results. I also want to thank Chris Bartle and Sir Mark Todd who have helped me incredibly.

While all my experienced horses are enjoying their holiday I am focusing on my younger horses as well as planning next year´s season.
